Which do you think is harder to win; the Champions League or the English Premiership?
Supposedly it's the Champions League, but Liverpool won the Champions League a couple of years ago with a side that never looked like challenging for the league. Is luck a bigger factor in the CL? What do you think?

The Premiership is much harder to win. One-off games depend a lot on luck, whereas winning the premiership means you've played well over a long period of time.Was it Van Der Saar's or Ferdinard's fault?

Depends which team you are. If you are talking about teams which are in both, I would say the Champions league.From a maths point of view, the premiership has 20 clubs, while the Champions league has 32.
Due to the fact that the Champions League is a european competition, the standard is generally higher, as it is the best from each country.
Also, playing aganst opposition that are less familiar is bound to be more difficult to play against.
Look at Chelsea, who have domnated te Premiership in the las two seasons, but have not had the adaptability to play against the unusual styles of foreigh opposition.
