Spurs 0 v Man Utd 4. Sun 04 02 2007?

As a football fan, I appreciate good football on the pitch. But today, it was the first time I saw Man Utd playing live this season. They are top of the league - not by fluke, playing the football I want to see/hear about. But I was totally amazed (right word?) of the way they were playing the game. Arguing and surrounding the ref, foulmouthed - if you lip read (no names), diving etc. This happened quite a bit in the game. My mates say they do it all the time. I see youngsters - under 9's, 12's, 15's - playing matches in our area and the majority are Man Utd supporters. They do the same because that's what their role models doing. Don't get me wrong, I like Man Utd (even though I do not support them). My question is that whose fault is it that these Man Utd and other premiership players behave this way? Is it their ego, superiority etc or something? What can and should be done?

Who is the hardest manager in the Premiership?

well just like i hear every unbiased commentator say during their games, United are only doing what they do best, create controversy

Chelsea - Love them or Hate Them ?

Thanks for putting it neutrally. i'm a ManU fan, and i've seen many matches. yea, it happens once in awhile, but other players from other football clubs do it too. im guessing, this is your first time watching their match? my advice, watch more of their matches, you view will change ;)

Hope this helps, Peace.

Who thinks Ferguson sucks?

please dont be an a.s.s. chig! WHAT WE DO BEST IS PLAY THE BEST FOOTBALL IN EUROPE
if you know anything about football and if u arent retarded (though i strongly suspect the opposite) u will know inside of urself what happened today.if u dont know football shut up and dont chat crap

anyway on a more mature level - today i saw some of the worst refereeing i have ever seen but that happens sometimes..man utd got a number of bad decisions and spurs also got two bad ones.
luckily it didnt affect the result of the match...

all prem teams get caught up in the heat of the moment and adrenaline rush and maybe curse and argue but on some occasions (like today) it was understandable because of frustration with the ref.

its not as bad as it might seem

keep watching man u.no better team to watch.i've been a die hard fan since i was 4 yrs. old

HOPE I WAS OF ASSISTANCE

<<GLORY GLORY MAN UTD>>

Who saw the richest clubs for 2007?

I agree that there is a major problem. I am a Liverpool supporter, but I admire what Man U. has accomplished. The attitude on the field needs to change. The first 5 minutes of the second half was a thing of beauty. All the pressure they put on, the passing, the flow of the game - all showed what a true championship team should play like. However, as a high school coach and youth official, things are getting worse, even in America. A 10 year old slides in cleats up and drills his opponent, I issue a card and I get lip and the famous "what did i do" shoulder shrug, arms in the air. High school kids are talking back to the official putting their arms up in the air for appeals - it's too much. I strive w/ my kids to get out of this. They bark at the official, I bench them. They dive, I ask them if it's because they think they aren't good enough to TRULY beat their opponent. I only wish my collagues would pick this up.
