What is the hardest position in a team sport?
Tennis, Golf, Wrestling, Racing etc. aside. I think that in sports, the hardest position would probably be the one that paid the most. Which in my mind means that it would have to come from Soccer, Baseball or Football. Of which certain positions stand out - Goalie, pitcher and quarterback. My position would be pitcher simply because of the extensive farm league system which allows through so few starters.

I agree...How do i clean my skateboard bearings? and my grip tape?
I think the hardest position in any team sport would be the CFO or the person writing the checks for all of these highly over paid athletes that are play a game.It would be hard to argue against the Pitcher, unless one was considering the evolutionary nature of baseball and the position. A starting pitcher goes 5 innings every 4.5 days now on the average. Even the winning team assumes that a nine inning game is more than likely going to be a "three pitcher" deal. (starter, middle reliever, closer). Considering that fact my sense is that overall the position has lost some of it's "Superman" mystique.
