You have to be careful, because this can be considered unnecessary roughness, which is usually at least a minute penalty. No matter what, don't lead with your helmet if you go in with your body. If you insist upon doing this, lead with your shoulder as you are passing them... you can at least somewhat make the claim that it was unintentional. Plus, it shouldn't hurt the other players as much, but it will get your point across.

Honestly though... the best lacrosse teams/players hardly ever use field "force" but rather concentrate on stick work. Actually makes the game much more interesting and fun for everyone...
