What is the best badminton racquet for a defensive player?
Answers:
Depending on your comfort, (3U/4U, stiffness, etc.) You most likely would go for a Nanospeed or an Armortec 800 DE or Armortec 900 TECH.
The reason for not other rackets, is because Muscle Power tend to be more for the ones who are clear-ers and smashers. Carbonex is an 'ok' series, an Carbonex 30 MS is a really good racket overall in everything. Armortec is head heavy, therefore, if you are defensive, you want to hit it as fast as you can, and Armortec usually is strength and there is a lag time when you hit it because it is heavy on top.
Armortec 800 DE has a different frame structure, supposingly allowing you to maneuver the racket a lot faster. However, it is still head heavy so there is a lag time. It's a fast racket, but leaves you vulnerable unless you hit the birdy away from them.
Armortec 900 TECH is a good racket, and unlike all the other rackets, it is the only without head-heaviness. This allows you to move a lot quicker and the racket itself is good overall.
Nanospeeds are expensive, but they are light-headed. Allowing you to move even FASTER. It has an ok strength, so you may not necessarily hit it at exactly the place you want.
If you were to go for defensive ONLY, use the ones I listed.
Hope this helped :D
