What are good tips for running a mile?
Tommorrow at my school we have to run the mile for the presidential fitness testing and i'm not good at running at all.So does anyone have any good tips on breathing, different strides, ect.?

run for a minute and walk for a minute. works pretty well for beginners.What colour dot on a squash ball indicates the fastest ball?
a god tip is to pace yourself and dont run as fast as you can at the start or you will might pull a mustle or have no energy for the rest of the miledont do it
practice your breathing, see what feels best for you, i usually breath in through my nose and out of my mouth. Breath in step with your running, if you start breathing ilregularrly it will slow you down. you can buy a peppermint inhaler (peppermint smell helps you breath) from GMC. dont drink alot of water before hand but do drink some. eat a salad the night before and no junk food. dont stretch before. start out with a slow jog and slowly increase speed until the end. dont worry if everyone else takes off at the begining and leaves you, towards the end they will slow down alot and youll probably pass alot of them. keep you head on somthin else, like music in your head or somthing youre going to do for the day. DO NOT THINK ABOUT RUNNING. relax while you run. running is 80% mental.
