What you need to do is check the national levels for athletes in your age group.
I am not sure who the US champ is at this point, but a little bit of research should set you in the right direction.
Look at the training regime of strength athletes and decide if this is something that interest you.
Your national strength will get you far but hard training and dedication to both you atheletics and academics will get you far.
Start looking at some of the Colleges, with the help of your coach and or parents and see if this is a realistic goal for you.
Do not be discouraged if a scholarship is not offered , you can also get bursaries and grants as well.
Study hard and train hard as a solid academic and athletic background will serve you well no matter what your future holds.
I had the oppurtunity to do track and field in HS and University, I have travelled through out my country and around the world competing in sports. If it were not for my grades and my comittment I would not have seen half of what I have to date.

Good luck, train hard and study hard.

Where can I buy a cheap pair of ice skates,I live in staffordshire?

Of course! you have incredible talent and I am surprised if a college doesnt notice you for that. Third in state is awesome.

Is there a sport where you hit a little white ball and have a slave carry your weapons (clubs and bags)?

Well Shot Put is pretty hard... if your current school has a record board on the wall or something get on it! Maybe you can get a small scholarship, if a college likes your score, for example if someone from a college was a spectator at your State championship then you might just have a chance. If you don't get the scholarship then your name will still be on that record board for a long time if you tried your hardest
