Im having this problem with my tippmann 98c?
my gun will shoot five or so balls at once on a single shot, i know it is not the co2 is low or that im holding the trigger allowing balls to feed

It sounds like your ball detent is either worn out or missing. It's a small piece of rubber that sits just ahead of where the ball drops into the chamber. Take a look at the manual, it will have the details. With no detent there is nothing to stop multiple balls from feeding at the same time so you'll probably need to replace it. If you don't think you can do it yourself just take it to a paintball shop that handles Tippman's and have them put a new one in. It's pretty simple so it shouldn't cost too much. -p.s. If you've taken the gun apart before you might want to make sure that you put the detent back in the right way, it won't work if it's in backwards.More Questions & Answers...
