Skateboarder's opinions needed?
I need to find a skateboard for my 11 year old boy. I don't mind putting out the money for a good board. I don't want him riding on a piece of junk, but I don't know what is junk and what's not. Can you please suggest what kind would be good for him. Any details on the type and why you picked it would be nice. Please include name brand or what exactly to look for in a board, as I am completely clueless. Thanks so much, in advance.

most beginners should start with a bigger board, go to a skate shop with your son and ask about each boards features. Or if he is a beginner let him start on a wal-mart board and put new bearings from a skate shop, personnally a santa cruz is a good brand for kids.More Questions & Answers...
