When i bench Press A lot Of Weight My Hamstring Gets pulled.?


Today I was Maxing out and I pulled my hamstring benching why is that?

With any weightlifting exercise you should try to focus on isolating the target muscles, and relax everything else. If you are lifting your butt up off the bench when doing presses, you are using too many unrelated muscles!

With a lighter weight on the bar, practice presses while paying close attention to what your doing with the muscles other than your chest and arms. Clenching the jaw is the first place you should think about, and relax that as much as possible. Then focus on your legs and abs. Try to use only the muscles you need to do the press, and don't tense up your whole body.

I'm thinking about joining the Track&Feild team at my College, what should I do to train and get in shape?
