LAcrosse shaft question..?

Technically, you don't have to know anything about cheerleading to try out and make the team. Coaches will often take someone with a great personality, desire and spirit over someone who has the better skill and is unable to get along with the coaches and other teammates. BUT, it wouldn't hurt to start stretching and learning about the basic movements that cheerleaders do. Try online tutorials that can help you learn jumps--toe touches, pikes, x-jumps, etc.--and angles--high V, T, Goal Post, whatever. It also wouldn't hurt to take a few tumbling classes. Most cheerleading involves some sort of gymnastics these days and the classes will also help you with your balace, body position and flexibility.

Good Luck!
