2000 e-z go golf cart beeps constantly when plugged in to charge but stops and charges OK when mtce switch on.

Question:My ez go golf cart beeps constantly when plugged into charger which can only be stopped by setting run/maintenance switch to maintenance. In this mode it stops beeping and charges normally. What does the beeping mean?

The beep is just letting you know you are not charging like a seat belt chime in a car I have other names for them in a car they are a pain
I have a older one that you simply plug in and forget about it i like that syst. better
