Jack Nicklaus in his prime vs. Tiger Woods now: Who Wins?
Assuming it's a standard 18 hole, 72 stroke course. One round of play, just those two.

If Mickelson repeats as the Masters winner..who puts the green jacket on him the second time?
If Tiger is forced to play with equipment from Jack's era, Jack in his prime would win & win big. Reverse it, and give Jack today's equipment, Tiger wins, but by a lesser margin. Pitting them against each other (in their primes) without taking the difference in course design, and club and ball technology into consideration is an unfair comparison. Wooden woods, balls that were like rocks, target-golf courses... Jack had it tough. Good thought provoking question though; kinda like Rocky Balboa vs. Mason "The Line" Dixon!Of course, it depends on the day... if one of them is playing their best and the other isn't, then whoever's playing better would win. However, I think Tiger would be the better golfer, just because the weight training, equipment, etc., of today's golfers is more advanced than that of those of 30 years ago.
What golfer won the masters in 1954?
I think it depends on Tiger's mindset at the time. For example, at the 2006 British Open, no one and I mean no one could touch him. If he is in that "Tiger zone" he is unbeatable. The the Golden Bear has plenty of heart, too. No one has ever played the game with more respect, more reverence for the game to say nothing of skill. He is the Golfer of His Generation.
But all in all, Tiger. With great respect to Jack...
What golfer won The Masters in 2001?
Unfortunately u cant compare the two...especially when u take into account...equipment and balls comes into play...Jack did it he hard way with what they had to play with...Tiger on the other hand has the whole golf industry at his fingertips. Jack had a natural talent to make a fade or draw when required and relied on instinct alone. Tiger has technology and natural talent all rolled into 1. It would be a hard call...but I think for my money.Jack had the better game for his equipment and era. That's not taking anything away from out beloved Tiger cos he is as gifted as they come. As a golfer..I love them both but I have to take @ 25 yrs into account.Best Private Golf Club in LA Area? - Not too expensive.?
I think Tiger has a better short game and recovery ability he has more quick speed and can bash the ball out of the rough the answer it would be very even and they would be rivals. In an 18 hole sprint its a coin flip who knows but over time it would be very even they both had their strengths Jack had the winning attitude he would hit it about 330 at times of the tee. But with today's equipment jack my have disadvantage he worked the ball constantly always playing away from trouble my aiming at it and moving it the other way he would still be good but I think tiger is better at times because he grinds out so many great pars.Does Europe have enough deapth in there sqaud to beat the US in the Ryder Cup?
Tiger would win but it wouldn't be by much maybe 3 or 4. Tiger has better driving endurance and physical and mental strength than anyone in golf. He has that bounce back ability when he does bad on the first few holes he comes back and wins it. he has the desire to win, a passion for golf. His iron play right now is the best we've ever seen and he has a phenomenal short gameTiger 67

How many courses are now on the rota to stage the Open Golf Championship?
Nickalus in a cake walk..for one reason...In nickalus time he had at least 10 other golfers who were dominating..He had constent pressure ,remember jack came in second 19 times at majors..Tiger is a freak...awesome but without any competion compared to jacks's time as the worlds best...Lets put it this way.How many of those 19 times jack finished second, would he have won in today's golfers compared to his time..wow..I bet a another 10 majors easy.Jack in a landslide..unreachable and untouchableIs it just me or are these new square drivers are just god awful to look at?
Jack Nicklaus, no question. You can't argue with 18 major wins. He also has the righ tmind set. Tiger just hits so far that no matter where it goes, generally somewhere not good, all he has is a chip shot left. And any pro can get 50 yard chip shot from the rough close.Just toss a coin. Head for Nicklaus and tail for Tiger.
