I play golf and if on my backswing i try to take the club to parallel my wrist cups?
therefore to prevent that i dont swing the club that far back, but i lose some power, does anyone know any drills to help increase the flexibilith in my wrists so that they will not cup on the backswing?

Where is horshoe bend golf club in texas?
eveyone has a different body shape and therefore swing shape. Not all of the pros take the club to parallel, ever watch Paul Azinger's swing it is about 3/4's of a swing and he hits it as far and as straight as anyone. Nick Price is another, 3/4's swing guy. Forget about parallel and keep your eye on the ball, make sure your first move with the club is back, pushing down on the clubface (rather than lifting the club up and out) and take it back slow and easy, making sure you turn your body at the waist. Watch the ball on the tee/ground and let your caddie/playing partners watch wher eit goes. If you do the above, you won;t have to be looking all over the place anyway, it will be pretty much where you aimed it. Unless you can hit 1,000 balls a day, settle for good solid shots everytime and not the pro swing.im assuming your right handed so try interlocking the pinky of your right hand inbetween the index and birdie finger of your left hand while gripping the club other than that idk wtf im talkin about
buy that power glove with the wrist brace in it, and hit balls. it will keep ur wrist flat. when u cup your wrist you have an open club face. that leads to big hooks slamming it shut. or a lot of push slices to the right. or right to right, because u dont release the club head.
Hellllllllllllllpppppppp!! its horrendous i need so much help please help me!?
Fist of all you should not think about that part of your swing if you intentionally try to shorten your swing on standard shots you're game will fail. Relaxed arm and hands are the key to a full backswing if you have a good grip that is correct don't worry about cupping I don't and most golfers don't either. A full backswing is one where you are coiled to your maximum ability without losing balance without relaxed hands you cant make a full backswing or release the club on the throughswing, My advice is to not think about it keep relaxed make a full swing and release. The only time you try to shorten your swing is under rare circumstances even then it's not forced its shorter but still must maintain the fluidity of the full swing. To fully answer your question a strong left hand grip creates cupping its not a bad thing it helps you have more control. A neutral grip makes the left hand flat at the top of your swing it will cause less hooks but you will find that you might lose control of the club at the top. All in all just stay loose in the arms and hands regardless of your grip to make a full powerful backswing.
