Why are there two apparent tee-off places on some holes in Augusta?
Question:Looking at the hole guide on the Masters website, and also on Google Earth, you can see on certain holes, two apparent tee-of areas.
Does anyone know why this is? Do the players tee off from either depending on certain circumstances?

So that the players will have nice, even grass from which to tee off clubs employ either tee boxes that are very large, and move the teeing ground around in it, or they have multiple tee boxes and rotate among them. For example hole # 4 is a par 3 that played from the back tees is 240 Yards, or when played from the front tees is only 180 Yards.
