Putting, help!?
I can't putt! I don't have a problem with finding the slope. If i am aiming at a certin point i push it right or left and short or long. Reading the greens are fine with me thou. Is there a certin kind of putter that I can use to help keep my hands/wrist from turning and also help with speed control?

Who is going to win the 2007 Masters?
i use a blade, i always say a good putter can use anything. practice is the solution not a new putter.i got a few drills that will help you out. when i was younger i had a problem with cutting the ball(pushing it out to the right and opening the putter so the ball starts to the right)
this one was my friend jeremy had me do, a drill that worked great. get an old beat up putter and put some tape on the toe of the putter(just so you dont scratch the wall up). then press the toe against the wall and just take some putting strokes.if your clipping the wall while your doing this then you are doing it correctly. this helps you get a feel of taking it straight back and taking it straight foward and the wall doesnt let you stray.
this is an advanced drill of the wall trick:
another drill is one i saw some guy doing at the golf course all you need is 4 tees, strings, and a level tool(for picture frames or shelves or whatever) use two tees and tie each to the end of the string. then do the same for the remaining tee's and strings. then stick them in the green parallel to each other so it looks like and equal sign... =========== like that. this will creat a shadow of two straight lines(this will be your guide) make sure its wide enough to fit your putter in between the two strings and make strokes staying in the lines.this is like the wall trick except you dont get the luxury of the wall keeping the stroke straight for you.
this one is for experts or people who are obsessed with practicing like me:
i made this one up(although later i found out pelz has something similar and more expensive) i had an old putter and what i did was drill two holes and put a bolt in each of the newly drilled holes in the putters face, just wide enough that a golf ball can fit inbetween the two bolts. this one can be frustrating if you dont have a steady stroke. when you putt your objective is to make a square stroke because if you dont the ball hits the bolts rather then the club face. this one really shows how good or messed up your stroke is.
i advise you to do the other two drills before this one. i used the bolt putter an hour a day and i putt great.
Golf caddy , does it track more than 1 players golf ball?
I find that a blade works better for a mallett if you are having trouble with speed. They have a little better feel. As far as the wrist, you just have to make an effort not to break your wrists when putting.its not the putter...its the puttee! dont hit the ball...stroke through it like you do in the practice putt...forget the ball is there and slowly stroke through and follow with your putter to the target...try reversing your hands (left hand lower than right ala vijay singh) to stop from breaking your wrists...
How do you cure a bad hook in a golf swing?
First make sure you adress is correct, and you have a decent grip, always go back to the fundies(fundamentals). I prefer a blade to mallet myself, may want to go to a pro shop with a putting green and try various other putters, or better still get fitted for one.I'm British, can someone from the US tell me what 'mini golf' is? Do you have smaller balls or clubs
first thing is to grip the putter very lightly, second is to use your shoulders to putt with, not your hands.golf is a game of muscle memory, personally i can't seem to remember to use my shoulders, every once in a while i use just my hands and the results are as you describe.i had to turn to a long putter and i am very, very good at it.as for you.try a ladder drill, that is place a ball at three feet, the next at six feet and nine feet and so on until the last ball is about 24 feet from the cup...all in a straight line and go ahead and putt all of them to the cup.this will teach you speed and picking a line to putt on...read each putt and use your shoulders to putt with not your hands.use the same drill from different directions to the cup...if you still are having trouble maybe you ought to be using a long putter.. after that drill, create a circle around the cup with your golf balls..first from 3 feet then six, then 9 and so on...these are great drills.if you continue to use these drills for say 5 to 10 years you will become a great putter, just like me.What do you thing about the new nike sasquatch driver?
You might wish to go to a golf retail outlet and try out the various type of putters available. Find one that you feel most comfortable with.If you are hitting everywhere except to your intended target, then try shortening your backswing and extending the follow through. It will help.
