How many golfers are in Japan?
I just want to know how many of all the golfers in the world reside in Japan. I read once that out of 60 million golfers in the world, 10 million are from Japan.

Japanese golfers tend to care about their scores very much. They are looking for products and services which help to improve their scores. According to the Japan Golf Goods Association, there were over 100 million people who played at golf courses in1997 in Japan. Since that number includes people who played more than once, the Japan Leisure Development Center estimates that there were 13 millionpeople who played at golf courses and 14 million people who went to driving ranges in 1997. Because of financial crisis in 1997, the number of players at golf courses has decreased in 1998.
