Is there a way to volunteer at the masters golf tournament?

I have only been playing for 3 years myself but have gotten my handicap down to 7 in that time! I did these things to help that part of my game -

First off, you need to do serious putting drills. This is FREE (except for your time)
3 feet out - 10 balls - do not stop putting until you have made 10 in a row.
4-5 feet out same thing maybe with 8
6-7 feet reduce it to 6 balls holed before leaving the practice session.

Do not quit without hitting all the putts you need to - quitters never win! If you cheat, you're only cheating yourself.

Determination and focus will get you there feeling comfortable with these shorties...and hitting them with very high percentage.

Indoors, get a decent sized section of tight weave carpet equivalent to an average greens speed. Use it on a level surface. You can just use a small target in lieu of an actual hole!

The other thing you'll drill on is lagging putts, but you'll need a large green or area for this.
Here you focus on distance only, not precise aim.
From 15-20 feet you'll want to get 10 in a row inside 3 feet to the hole...then move back, less balls as done when putting short ones.then back some more, etc...

Increase the number of "must makes" or distances if you get really good at it - it can only help.

One more hint. It's impossible to sink a putt if it never gets to the hole - never leave them short!

Happy golfing!

What are some excercises that i can do to be in shape?

There are two pretty good ways to putt in the cold months. The time-tested cup-on-the-floor method, and indoor mini-golf. Both offer about the same experience, but the cup method, along with a deep pile rug, allows you to add difficulty to your putting.

Looking to buy a golf cart, need a little help!?

Years ago, I watched a golf video which talked about people missing very make able putts. Two of the main reasons are indecision and over analyzing. They had a great drill to work on your putting. Start close to the hole and place a bunch of balls around it. Then do speed putting. Just line up, putt. Line up, putt. Line up, putt. Don't think about it, just do it. When you are finished, check and see how many putts you made. You'll be surprised at how many when it. The point is, is that many people take so much time lining it up, and then standing over a putt that they start to second guess themselves and they lose a little bit of confidence. Confidence is vital to good putting. You have to trust yourself that you lined it up correctly and then putt. Good luck, Doug

Who is gonna win the British??

Where can I take golf lessons for cheap in Los Angeles?

Cut the size of the hole down by 1/3.

Move your putting distance back one foot at a time and make 10 putts at each location before you move back another foot. If you miss once, start counting all over again. Work on mechanics instead of feel because your carpet will not be the same as greens.

When you get good at that, work on putting five putts into the right side of the cup, the center of the cup, and the left side of the cup, before you move a foot back.
