What does it take to become a professional golfer?
I'm very ahtletic 5'10" 165lbs 20 years old. Good at a lot of sports. Just started playing golf and tennis. I would like to turn pro in either one of these sports, but i need some training. Any help? I know that i have the skills to be really good; i just need some training.

in golf i would be in a country club and practice your golf and you will be better. Now in tennis i would practice with someone 3 times a week.Does anyone have Ping i3 Plus irons?

technically to become a pro golfer all you have to do is accept anykind of money for playing golf. To play on the PGA Tour however, just start playing in amateur tournaments improve and keep on trying, maybe go to a college thas has a decent golf program and you can earn your tour card by playing through the nationwide tour or enter qualifying events for pro tournaments and hopefully finish high enough to qualify.Good Luck!
Equipment question: Aldila or Graffaloy?
You have to be able to qualify for the pro-am tour and win enough to earn points to be able to even try and qualify for the pro tour. So unless you're a scratch golfer (shoot par on every hole), you have quite a bit of work to do. Being athletic has NOTHING to do with the game of golf. The hardest yardage on any golf course is the 4 inches between your ears! Download the the PGA rules book and know every rule and be able to play that way when you are out golfing.Is there information on a frizbee golf course located near Salem, Oregon?
both of the sports you mention are sports that you really have to start playng when you are young, especially tennis - golf you can get good at but there's alot to be said about getting a racket or a golf club in the hands of a kid and let them develop naturally - I'm not saying don't try - You would have to pick one of those sports first of all and totally commit to it - get a pro to help teach you and get you working on the things that will help you get to that elite level - it takes more than hitting golf balls at the range or hitting tennis balls of a wall to get to the top of the sport - good luckDoes anyone know about any charity golf tournaments in the Pittsburgh area in the next month or two?

Golf is unique. You don't need extraordinary strength except strength of will to be a 'good' golfer.To be a pro? You need skill born of talent. Opportunity is most important, too. If you are in a position to make golf your primary occupation all you need is practice. (Like 'directions' to Carnegie Hall).
