Masters Golf Tournament Question?
There was a golfer at the Masters on the weekend who shot a 10 on one hole. Who was it and HOW in the world did he shot a 10?
Answers:
1st shot: Hit the ball into the water (resulting in a 1-stroke penalty).
3rd shot: from the "drop area," he hit the ball into the water again (another 1 stroke penalty).
5th shot: from the drop area again, he hit the ball long, and into the bunker behind the green.
6th shot: He hit the ball back onto the green, but hit it too hard, resulting in the ball going back into the water (the same water he hit his first 2 balls into) -- again, 1 stoke penalty.
8th shot: hit onto the green
He then proceeded to take 2 putts, for a 10.
Not good.
How come no one asks about golf?
Rocco..he knocked it in the water multiple times on 12...I think it was 12.Where can I search for the history of women's golf-i.e. when & where 1st tournament played?
It was indeed Rocco Mediate on the par 3 155 yard 12th hole. What makes it even more amazing is that he was 7 over par for the hole for a septuple-bogey (never thought I would be able to use that term). His shot from the tee landed in the water (2 strokes), his shot from the drop area landed in the water (4 strokes), his next shot from the drop area landed in the water again (6 strokes), his next shot landed in the back bunker (7 strokes), he chipped out onto the green (8 strokes) and two putted to end the pain (10 strokes).
What is even more incredible is that this is not even close to record score on this hole. Tom Weiskopf managed a 13 on this same hole in 1980 (TEN over par). Now we know why they called 12, 13 and 14 Amen corner.
How do I lower my golf handicap. Will buying new clubs help or just more practice with old clubs.?
Rocco Mediate... and it was on a par 3 as well! Tee shot into the Rae's creek. Mishit his third from the drop area into the water. Hit his fifth FAT and into the water again. Finally hit his seventh into the bunker, eight out and two putts for a ten.Rocco seems like a good guy. However, it's good to see that even the best can have a blowup hole and hit a fat iron from time to time.
