Leafs vs isles last night?
why was sundin's goal recalled?? they called a goalie interference penalty on stajan but he never went to the penalty box, he was cross-checked into dipetro and the whistle never went even after sundin carried the puck all the way to the side and scored. i think the refs need a serious slap in the face and wake them up before they go out and reft a game!

3 Part ?:Who was Abby Hoffman? What is the Abby Hoffman Cup? Who won it this year?
Apparently, that's the correct call according to the rulebook. Go fig. But thing is, DiPeitro was complaining about Poni's stick between his legs. How hard is it to open up the legs to free it? That goal should've counted. The goalie could've freed himself, but instead, he tried to draw a penalty. Isn't there a penalty for that? (Hint: it's close to diving...)What Leafs coach was named Coach Of The Year?
I've always found that there are two teams that NHL referees favor all the time. The Oilers and the Leafs. What if there is a tie for the Presidents Trophy?
I agree that goal should have counted . I was listening to the game on NHL.com and the announcers couldn't believe that it wasn't counted. What was the codeword for quest for the cup 5-04-07?
Rule 78 Protection of GoalkeeperThe revised crease rule is intended to implement a "no harm, no foul, no video review" standard. The rule is based on the premise that an attacking player's position, whether inside or outside the crease, should not, by itself, determine whether a goal should be allowed or disallowed - i.e., goals scored while attacking players are standing in the crease may, in appropriate circumstances be allowed. Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, either by his positioning or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper's ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal; or (2) an attacking player initiates more than incidental contact with a goalkeeper, inside or outside of his goal crease. Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact. The rule will be enforced exclusively in accordance with the on-ice judgement of the Referee(s), and not by means of video replay or review.
1. If an attacking player initiates contact with a goalkeeper, incidental or otherwise, while the goalkeeper is in his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
2. If an attacking player initiates any contact with a goalkeeper, other than incidental contact, while the goalkeeper is outside his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
3. In all cases in which an attacking player initiates other than incidental contact with a goalkeeper, whether or not the goalkeeper is inside or outside the goal crease, and whether or not a goal is scored, the offensive player will receive a penalty (minor or major, as the Referee deems appropriate). See also Rule 47(c) -- Charging).
A song during all sens home games..help me find out what it is?
It was a crap call but the NHL's worst referee. Leafs get screwed again. I blame Betteman. The NHL can't possibly grow any more in the Leaf market but needs to grow in other NHL markets, hence Leafs always get screwed by the referees who are under Betteman's control. The League perceieves a need to have US cities in the playoffs. Betteman give us our cup back you creep. How bad will The Deetroit Red Wings beat all that face them in playoffs?
