1-on-1 help?

Question:I'm trying to get better for high school hockey and I'm struggling with getting past the vasrsity players. I'm used to going around or rite through the person, but that really doesn't work with them. Any suggestions on how to improve on 1-on-1's down the ice, getting the puck out of the corner, and just anything to help me for high school hockey

Ice skating?

Experiment. Practice dropping it into your skates and kicking it by. Shoot through the d-man's legs some times so he starts standing up, then you can fake shot and scoot by. Work on your stickhandling. Try it with a tennis ball. Try it on an uneven surface. It all comes down to confidence which you get by practicing.
Watch the pros, especially the europeans, they can use their feet to move the puck along the boards.
Remember a couple of things: Keep your head up so you see what's going on around you or some one will clean your clock. Keep your stick on the ice.

What was the biggest comeback ever in an NHL game?

hes got a good point. stickhandling is a big key to getting around the bigger guys, because they cant move as quick. if you're a big guy on a big guy...or little guy on a little guy, try using your body a bit, and lean into him while going left or right. if its small versus big, you gotta learn how to stickhandle well so that they cant go along with your moves. the europeans are experts (examples being pavel datsyuk and henrik zetterberg of the red wings).
in the corners, keep along the boards...dont want to be in te danger zone and get hit from behind and leave with a life injury like breaking your neck. kick a soccerball around sometimes, try and pass it out to the open man when in the corners, then maybe you'll get it back.

Is JS Gigure built like Arnold Schwarzenager?

Watch some Jaromir jagr footage; this is the textbook on the moves.

How do you steam hockey skates?

Every aspect of your game will improve if your skating improves. Concentrate on skating hard, and skating well. Next is stickhandling. You can't walk around players if you don't take the puck with you,and that stems from smooth handling. You can improve your skating the best by skating. Other ways to help are to lift weights and do plyometrics. Stickhandling is done through practice. When you go one on one with a guy read what he is giving you, then either take it around him, put it through him and skate to the puck, or just dangle him with a trick move.
