I think last year was the first time an eight made it to the final actually. I could be wrong but I can't recall another eight being able to pull off three straight upsets.

nope. its never happend. but its possible. but the 8th seeds have to beat the 1 seeds. and that usually doesnt happen.

No. Last year the Oils were the first # 8 seed to make it that far, Carolina was #2. and no #8 seed has ever won a cup (obviously if the oils were the first to make it and lost)
