Is it just me or does Versus seem pro American and Anti Canadian?
Last night they were saying oh yeah the stars could take it tonight they are the better team and the Canucks prolly can't make it through...Did anyone else notice this or is it just me? BTW ha ha on Versus the Canucks did beat the stars!!

I think Versus is just always wrong. Had they said the Canucks would win, it would have gone to the Stars, just because the Hockey Gods hate versus!They said that because going into the game, the Stars had been playing much better, shutting out the Nucks for 150 minutes. It wasn't because Vancuver is in Canada, but because they honestly thought the Stars would win.

Well, considering how many goals Vancouver had scored in that series and how they had been playing, that was a very reasonable comment. It was not pro American or anti-Canadian or any of that crap.Vancouver winning like that was a surprise. I did not look like they would make it, even after the first period. They played well in the last two though, and that gave them the win.

This is silly. Nobody gives a damn, about Canadian or American teams. Its hockey, plain and simple. Did you ever consider that the guys on Versus believe the Stars are better? Is it so hard to think, they were actually speaking what the believed, and not bashing the poor people to the north. Hockey is the one game, tha should have no bias, we root for the players on our teams, not caring where the were born, grew up, or live in the off-season. But when somebody says something against one team, its an anti Canada bias. As an American, I dont care if a guys from Canada, Russia, Sweded or freekin Iraq. My opinion is they are usually for whoever is ahead or playing well at the moment. In the Flames/Wings series we had to turn them off and turn the radio on because the Flames had won the last two games and that's all they talked about. I just wish as commentators the national ones would actually WATCH the game and not just add their cute comments and personal input. Our local guys CALL the game and when there is a few seconds tell their stories.Can an NHL team replace their goalie in a shootout if the original goalie is not hurt?
