Leafs and Habs.?

With a possible playoff game on saturday. Who makes it in? Why? Or does it even make it until saturday before both of their fates are decided. And does either team stand a chance in the first round versus the sabres?

Saturday's game will determine whether the Leafs or Habs claim that final playoff spot, and whichever team has the better goaltending will have the unenviable task of trying to eliminate the Sabres from the playoffs in a 7-game series.

My predictions: Habs beat Leafs in a shootout (tied 2-2 through overtime, so the final will be "3-2", although several goals could be scored in the shootout).
Sabres beat Habs in 6 (Miller's inconsistent play gives Montreal a chance to take the series, but the Buffalo offense is too good to let that happen).

If I'm wrong about the Habs making the playoffs, then the Sabres will beat the Leafs in 5 (Raycroft singlehandedly wins a game, preventing the sweep, but the Sabres offense is too good to lose more than once to the Leafs).

Does anyone know the name of the song on NHL on TSN when they announce the starting goalies for the game?

I hope the Habs make it in and the Leafs do not.

It would make for an exciting game if it was not decided until Saturday's game.

Tell me HNIC would not be rockin' if that would happen!!

Two Canadian teams on HNIC's last broadcast of the regular season going head to toe to see who gets to go to the playoffs!!

I think the Habs will make it because they are a better team all round.

No I don't think they stand a chance against the Sabres.
Regardless if it's the Habs or the Leafs.

The Sabres are a faster and more skilled team than either one of Canadian teams.

Does Notre Dame deserve the no. 1 seed?

Toronto makes it because they have a bit of an easier game tonight and because they are at home vs. the Habs and have a home winning record while the Habs have a road losing record. I would say they probably don't have a chance vs the Sabres but they have played them tough lately and can be good on the PP and if Raycroft outplays Miller then it COULD happen, I wouldn't be shocked. For that matter, I wouldn't be shocked if the Habs make it either and I think if they do, they have less of a chance against the Sabres.

Who has Todd Bertuzzi been playing with in Detroit?

I hope they both make it in & knock out the Rangers.

Pittsburgh Penguins just reached an arena deal to stay in Pittsburgh. Thoughts on this?

leafs make it in because there schedule is easier and sundin is due to break out of his scoring slump soon. i think their fates will be decided after saturdays game where the leafs will finish with 93 points and the habs 90 points. i think the leafs will take the sabres to game 6 or 7 before losing or winning on a crappy *** goal (by poni)

In a stanley cup series, has a team ever been swept?

Toronto cuz halak sucks balls and Toronto has the momentum and the fan support

TORONTO RULES ALL

Does anyone know where the new Pittsburgh Penguins arena is going to be built?

With a Regulation Lost To the Leafs Tonight combined with a Habs win or Over Time (1 PT)

its bye bye stinky leafs! BYE BYE!

I SAID BYE! BYE!

Who's a sens fan?

HABS

Who is the highest and second highest paid NHL players for this season?

Leafs for sure, I think it will come down to Saturday. The Leafs will have the definite advantage with all the fan support. Both teams could easily knock out the Sabres as they really did well against them this year.

How About that Miller Save...?

Lots of wild possibilities.
Leafs and Habs could make it.
If both win tonight and the game saturday goes to OT with the leafs winning, TB or NY could be on the outside looking in.
Isles are basically done. Need to win out against Leafs, Flyers and NJ and hope that teams ahead lose out. Not looking good.
Saturday will be cool at the ACC if Leafs win tonight. Habs can lose tonight and still get in.
Could a playoff spot be won in a shootout? Stay tuned fans.

WOW please will someone ex plane why the detroit redwings (suc) have a Toyota signs all around there rink?

I think Toronto will make it in, mainly because I feel that Montreal will lose to the N.Y. Rangers tonight in New York, and whether Toronto wins tonight at the N.Y. Islanders won't matter.

The Maple Leafs have won 8 games in a row at home, and Saturday wil be like a game 7 playoff game. That gives the edge to the Leafs.

And don't forget, if both the Rangers and Tampa Bay lose their last two games, there is a possibility that both Toronto and Montreal could qualify for the playoffs, if they each win tonight and Toronto wins vs. Montreal on Saturday in OT or shootout.

Is there a good chance Gary Roberts is going to the Detroit Red Wings?

Leafs. They have more heart and have lost so many games to injury that something has to go their way sometime right?!
