8 in the West?

Question:If Calgary loses its next game in regulation or OT, and the Avs win their next, the two will meet in their final game to decide who take the 8th seed. Although it is unlikely considering both teams next opponent, if it does come down to that game, who will win and by what score? I will wait to pick the best answer til after the game so the right answer gets picked.

It's a tough call. The Avs have worked hard to bring it down to this. They wiped out Vancouver tonight and they're a strong team. Also, Colorado showed what they an do against Calgary last Tuesday. One can only guess whether they can keep up the intensity. If Colorado does take the 8th spot, they will be well prepared for the do or die atmosphere of the playoffs. If it comes down to the final game, I think the Avs have a good chance. They have some very good players in Sakic, Hejduk, and Sastny. Their NW rivals have shown an inability to solve for all three of those players on a given night.

Calgary could take a heavy final attack against Colorado though. As we saw tonight against San Jose, the Flames will fight you to the very last second. If algary can control their defensive zone against Colorado's offense, then they can win.

Since I have to pick, I'm going to say Colorado takes the win 4-3. It's going to be a Tuesday repeat.

Which NHL team is the most overconfident right now?

If it comes down to the final game, Colorado will win. They have all the momentum and nothing to lose considering they were all but buried 3 weeks ago. Score...4-2 Avs.

Fans that give the boo-birds?

I dislike both teams<eek>, but Calgary is the better team of the two so I'll say Calgary wins it 4-2(but thats a guess).

Who Will Win the the 2010 Mens Hockey World Cup?

If the Flames lose in OT they will gain a point and the Avs will miss the playoffs. The Avs must win both games and the Flames must lose both games in regulation. The Oilers may be the trump card for the Flames. The Oilers are playing lousy to worse than lousy. However, if the Flames take them lightly, the Oilers may play an "over their heads butt ugly game and win. If it is in regulation then the Flames MUST beat the Avs or take them to overtime.

First one to get the answer I want to hear will get ten points?

slim but possible. thatd be a cool game though. i bet itd come really close if they had that game. they both have superb goaltending, big hit men, and speedy forwards... lets just watch what happens. that guy above me has a point.. they dont gain a pt in ot.

colorado is looking good right now and calgary looks like they are slipping out of the playoffs.

Who gets the last three playoff spots in the East?

I hope it comes down to the final game. It will be an awesome game and Detroit fans should be watching closely. I'll say 3-1 Calgary, even though I'd like to see Colorado win.
