Question:I am 18 going to be 19 and I was wondering if there are any teen/adult leagues that I could start playing ice hockey for? I see a lot of like 35+ leagues and then the junior leagues but I am in between. I am looking to play on the beginner/low intermediate level and I would like to find a league that allows checking because I know certain leagues don't allow players to check. Anyone know of any rinks in San Jose that offer that?

basically man, any adult league does not allow full contact checking. Only peewees, bantams, midgets allow it, and you aged out. your next step for full contact will be Juniors but if you just started playing than that may be a little to advanced for you, by the way the age limit for juniors is 21. So basically they do not allow hitting in the adult rec leagues, they may allow "incidental contact" but thats as far as it can go. Im from the bay area, in concord, and i have been playing since I was 4 years old. I suggest you go in to logitech ice and talk to someone they are helpful there man hope this helps bro
