The 1975 New York Islanders for achieving the Greatest Comeback Ever in a best-of-7 MLB, NBA, or NHL playoff series. The Islanders made a good comeback that season but the one that tops that was the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs who were down 3-0 against Detroit, they came back to win 4 straight and captured the Stanley Cup.What are good rap songs for hockey games?
there was some story on nhl.com couple weeks ago about some team i wanna say the kings who game back and won from a 5-0 dephicit!Do you think Rangers will retire Messier's number?
I dont remember how long ago this was but the Los Angeles Kings were winning by a score of 7-0 and ended up losing the game. It was one of the first years that the kings were a franchise so it was some time ago. In the playoffs the only teams that made huge comeback were the New York Islanders against the Penguins in the 1975 Playoffs and when the Leafs came back from a 3-0 deficit and ended up winning the stanley cup. The only other time that occured in any sport was the Boston Red Sox in 2004 when they won the world seriesI believe that late in the 1990 season, Detroit trailed Pittsburgh 6-0 and came back to earn a tie in a wild game. It happened during the only season the Redwings failed to make the playoffs during Yzerman's career.
I also remember hearing of a strange NHL game but don't remember the two teams involved. One team trailed by a goal, had the extra attacker on and gave up an empty net goal to trail by two goals. But they ended up scoring two even strength goals in the final 30 seconds to force overtime.
