With the Maxim Afinogenov and Tim Connelly coming back the Sabres have to be the front runners in the East?

Buffalo sabres interview with ryan miller and brian campbell from all star week?
They already are the front runners in the East ;)Having Afinogenov and Connelly back just improves the odds of a Stanley Cup victory!!
Go Sabres!!
Wow...wats up with the Sharks players?
They were the front runners BEFORE those two came back. So yeah. I'd say so. I have my doubts, however, that any team in the east can win the final. The west is the best.Rockets will make playoff this year?
No WAY!I'd say they have been the frontrunners all year.
Is there, or should there be a stat to record a skaters points-per-minute?
Remember one thing. When the playoffs start anything can happen. The sabres run into a hot goalie next thing they know, they have tee times.Who are you betting on for winning the stanely cup?
Them coming back doesn't change the fact that they have been the frontrunners all along. If anything, it just solidifies their position as Cup favorite from the east.In your opinion: Who are the top 3 best NHL goalie of ALL time?
You are right on track. Yes, the Buffalo Sabre's are #1 in the East as well should be. As they get healthier, the other teams will have four solid, scoring lines to deal with come play off time. And, the Buffalo power play and penalty kill is also getting better as the regular season winds down and the play off season starts. Special teams is always huge in the play offs, so watch out - here come the Sabre's!It definitely helps them, no question. I would be more concerned about Connelly since he hasn't played since last years playoffs. Maybe this is the year for the Sabres.
What is the #1 reason that the Ottawa Senators are the best they have ever been in the playoffs?
They allready are the frontrunners in the East, all season. Max will definatley help out, Connolly will have little or no effect, he may help the special teams, but with little ice time. Either way it cant hurt them, only make them stronger.Does any one have OLN in the U.S area?
No. For the millionth time, fraility and goaltending will do them in.Always have been, but how often does the favorite actually win? When it comes to the NHL, playoffs is a whole different story.
Don't be suprised if they don't go as far as people think they will. Look at the stats, Buffalo is a great team with the shootouts, Buffalo is a good team without the shootouts. Sorry to say, but there are no shootouts in the playoffs. They need to be able to win in regulation (and there are several other teams with better stats). All positions are solid, but goaltending.
Either way, I can't see Connelly being much of a factor, especially in the first round. When's the last time he played? And now he's being put in the line up right at the start of the playoffs?
Concerning the Devils v. Maple Leafs of March 2, 2007?
Surprisingly they played the same quality hockey without Af as they did with him. I was so sure a few weeks ago that Buf would slip a little in the standings with their offensive machine on the shelf; oops was I wrongo.I would have to admit that Buf is the best in the Conf. right now. NJ a close second and then you have everyone else.
But in the playoffs we have seen some wacky upsets so don't get out your Cup polish just yet.
What is the worst trade in the history of the NHL?
I agree that the Sabres have been front runners all year. They're very talented, very fast, and well coached. They have a solid defense, and a great goaltender in net. As I'm saying this I can feel the vomitt rising in my throat, but it's the truth. I believe they have the best chance in the East to play in the final series. I would have said that the Devils are their greatest competition, but since the Lamoriello/Julien ordeal, I have no idea how that will effect the Devils play-off run. We'll have to see what happenes.Who wore #19 on the red wings before steve yzerman?
They won the East, I'm saying when those two are back the Sabres will ride all the way to the cup without looking back.More Questions & Answers...
