I'm agreeing with you. I think this is a great team that the Ducks have this year. They have one more game to win to get up against Ottawa and then go all the way.
The Senators will win it all. Though the Ducks I have to say would provide some excitement. But when you face a team that has only 3 loses going into the finals, tossed around the leagues top point getter, made a featured Hall of Famer goalie look somewhat bad, and beat down the top offensive and best regular season team 4-1 in the series with a shutout... well its quite hard not to believe they are the top team to beat here.

I believe Ducks going to win but they need to get up another level of physically.The Ducks are playing very undisciplined hockey and still getting W's somehow. That's what you call a team of destiny, if you believe in that kind of thing.
But if they do manage to get by Detroit (they can't look past game 6), they'll really have to clean up their act. They can't give up the amount of PP's they're giving the Wings, that'd be hard to overcome. Especially against the streaking Sens..
Maintain discipline and don't take dumb penalties, and there's no reason they can't bring the Cup to California. They have the talent and a proven playoff goaltender who's almost as hot as he's ever been..

I think if the Ducks win game 6 tomorrow against the Wings, they will win the Stanley Cup. I read JP's answer and I agree with a lot of his points, but there are two things that he's missing. First, the Ducks were every bit as dominant in 2003 in the first three rounds (they were 12-2 going to the finals, tying an NHL record) behind some amazing goaltending by Giguere (maybe the best postseason a goaltender has ever had without winning the Cup) beating both Detroit and Dallas (going 8-2 in those games).that's pretty convincing that they would be able to knock out the Devils. But in the end it didn't happen. So citing the Sens current success doesn't mean anything in a week. It's all 0-0 again by then. Second, the Senators really haven't played a team like Anaheim all year long, because no team in the East is like Anaheim (if anything, Ottawa is the closest thing to a team like Anaheim in the East, which is why it isn't terribly surprising that they beat the Sabres). For the Senators to win, they'd almost have to beat Anaheim at their own game, which is something I don't think they can do. The Senators also rely a lot on their first line, and in the finals that first line will either have to deal with Scott Neidermeyer and Chris Pronger OR with Nick Lidstrom and Chris Chelios, and the Sens haven't faced a defense that tough all year long. Plus, both Anaheim and Detroit have fantastic goaltending and good scoring, so it's not like the Sens will blow them out of the water in terms of offense.I believe the Finals would be a tough series, but I believe it is one the Ducks should (and will) win if they get there (same for Detroit actually.and believe me Sens fans, I know how good your team is, as I picked them to win the East at the beginning of the playoffs). BUT there's still game 6 with the Wings to worry about, and I'm more concerned with the Ducks finishing them off than I am with the Sens right now (and I'll be at Honda Center for game 6!! GO DUCKS!!)

I hope that the Ducks win the western conference. This will mean that two teams the Ducks and the Senators will have a chance to make history. Neither team has won the cup before so it will be really cool to watch. Wings. They have been in the same situation before with Colorado....and....wo...Ducks have won on the scoreboard.not on the ice. The Wings have been their own worse enemy...and they know how to remedy that.
