Question:joe has more assists than crosby now nad he's only six points behind crosby for lead in points..
i guessing that by the end of the season..thorton will claim this league his once again

I suggested this might happen, two weeks ago. The Sharks pretty much always finish the season strong. The lead is cut down to 6 points. Two weeks ago, Thorton was trailing Sid by like 20 points. Jagr was hurt toward the end of last season. It was not that he ran out of steam. I think he will catch Sid.Do you think the blue jackets will trade Anson Carter or Nick Zherdev?
Thornton tore it up down the stretch last year, and will do the same this year. I have the feeling that Joe will continue to put up good chunks of points and will PROBABLY pass Sid...Who won the stanley CUp this year?

The scoring race will be fun to watch...both are extremely talented and neither seems likely to fade so it will be close. Both are great players, it is really too bad that Thornton doesnt get to play in a media market that would help people realize how great he is. I am sure that San Jose fans are glad he is there but imagine how much publicity he could get if he were in a Canadien city or one of the major eastern U.S. cities. He would be talked about as the next Gretzky/ Lemieux type player and the comparisons between him and Crosby would be hotly debated every day.Crosby will win by 10 points. He also has a game in hand and missed 3 with injury. Thornton would need 2 points for every one Crosby gets so not likely. If Thornton gets 14 more points-2 a game- Crosby would just need 9 to win and he is the point leader for a reason. 7 games left to Crosby's 8 and 6 points behind-you be dreamin in color. What surprises me is how few goals Thornton scores, I know he is a playmaker but you'd think he'd get more from just dumb luck. Sidney had more goals in his rookie year than Thronton has ever had. Only like 200 in his career. Heck Crosby might crack that before he is old enough to buy a beer. Let's remember that Thornto is also over 8 years older and still can't quite keep up with him.
Therefore, I think Crosby's claim on this league is pretty secure.

its spelled THORNTON and thornton sucks and he is the worst player in the worldI guess Joe's former team doesn't want him to win the trophy, because the Bruins gave up two goals and an assist to Sid today. (In seriousness, the Bruins were just thoroughly outplayed.)
