Who do you think has the best/worst announcers?

Who has the rights to broadcast NHL games?
Rick Jeanerette for the Buffalo Sabres is by far the best announcer ever. For any of those who haven't heard him, here is a link to his myspace page, where you can play some of his best calls.http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus...
GO SABRES!
What is a 1979 Wayne Gretzky Trading Card worth?
I like the Canucks announcers!! John Shorthouse and Tom Larscheid...Jim Hughson-Best
Joe Bowen- Worst
Both from the CBC
I like Jim hughson because no matter what game he is calling, he takes the side of the Canadian team, and if its 2 Canadian teams playing each other remains unbias and he also maintains his composure
I hate Joe Bowen because he screams at EVERYTHING!!...I was watching a toronto/Ottawa game and Raycroft made this easy glove save and he screams out "HOLY MACANAW WHAT A SAVE!"...there was no chance of the puck going in, but he feels compelled to scream at every little play, no matter how small it is
Going to a Flames v/Kings game that starts @ 7pm. How early should we show up?
I don't know his name, but the guy that does the call for the Detroit Red Wings, who always sounds like he is going through puberty, has to be the worst. But I do like the thing about throwing an octopus on the ice; that is cool.(Dallas Stars Fan here). As an analyst, I like Ralph Strangis who does the Stars games with Darrell Reigh.
Well football has John Madden he is the BEST in football. But ESPN announcers are the worst ever. Second best is soccer announcers Derek Rae and Tommy Smyth. For baseball Joe Morgan and I forgot his sidekick. Hockey I couldn't tell you.
The two best are Rick Jeanerrette from Buffalo and Mike Lange from Pittsburgh. The worst are Tampa's duo and Atlanta's. You would think they were announcing a funeral or something.
In your opinion...who wins the Jack Adams?
Some of the worst, most biased announcing I ever heard comes from the announcers of the Philadelphia Flyers, Gary Dornhorfer and Jim Jackson. These two guys call the most lopsided game you have ever heard and they always act like their is a giant conspiracy against the Flyers. You won't learn a thing by listening to them except how to cry about how the refs are hosing you.Best? Although his voice can get annoying, Mike Emerick has as much knowledge about the game and its players as anyone out there. He does his homework and I think its cool that he tells you where the players played their junior hockey and where they grew up.
Who should I date the hockey player, football player, or horrible basketball player?
I live in Detroit and the Red Wings callers are just abominable. I would have to say Rick Jeanerette in Buffalo is probably the best, and Pittsburgh is a close second.I cant answer this question officially, since the only announcers I have heard are Mickey Redmond and Ken Daniels of Detroit, and the commentators on NBC and Vs..
What I love about Mickey and Ken is that they tell it how it is, the truth and bias opinion that you cant hear on national tv commentators.
For example, in last nights game against the San Jose Sharks, Mickey was ripping on the Sharks fans saying that they have no idea what a penalty is, since they booed loudly whenever one of their players hit the ice.
Where can i find nhl 07 roster updates?
Best:Jim Hughson
Rick Jeanneret
Bob Cole 10-15 years ago
Emrick
Worst:
Bob Cole now
Pierre "please shut up" McGuire
If a team pulls their keeper then ices the puck, does the keeper have to stay on the bench?
ANYBODY on NBC...They are terrible. IF they want to grow hockey's fan base in the US.They need to get a better crew. They don't know who is on the ice, they talk about stupid stuff and they can't even pronounce players names right. Shouldn't it be your job to scan the player list and have people tell you how to correctly pronounce players names? ...And Versus isn't that great either. FSN is the clear winner of hockey coverage IMO. For example as a SJ shark fan I like how FSNBA calls games. They are of course biased a bit because its the sharks but they call the games straight up. As a fan I learn alot from FSN. Its not a bunch of hooey good TV like with NBC or Versus. Its more real.NOW do you think the Flames will beat Detroit?
I haven't heard them all, but I will not listen to the audio if Mike Emrick is calling the game. I do like the Hockey Night in Canada telecast.Locally, I haven't enjoyed anyone since the late Gene Hart stepped away. Jim Jackson is too excitable for me.
I would say the best are Doc and Chico(Devils), Sam Rosen(Rangers), and Rick and Jim (Sabres), even John Forslund(Carolina) is alright.
Worst: There are some bad ones out there, but Tripp Tracy (Carolina) is absolutly the worst color man in the game. Were did they bring in this guy off the street?
Some other bad ones are Mike Lange, Bob Cole, Dave Arnold, Gord Kluzak and Dave Hodges.
Is it true that Hockey was developed into a game in Canada?
By far it has to be R J from Buffalo. He can make icing sound like the game winning goal of the finals. His enthusiasm for the game and situational awareness is something else. The worst is the entire Versus crew. They suck, they are totally bias, and half of the time they are talking about what they did that day or week or whatever while the play is going on. This is not baseball where you have 2 minutes before each pitch to fill time in.
Washington Capitals announcers come in second. I feel like I am watching a funeral instead of a hockey game.
Does Indiana University have a hockey team?
Rick Jeanerette, by far, best.Pretty much anyone on versus is horrible.
edit: Wow Sean M your a total moron. Have you ever even heard him? He knows the name of probably ever player in the game. I dont even know what you talking about with the other stuff, he is not biased and he calls the game very objectively.
pish posh.
In hockey, was there ever a penalty assesed when a penalty shot was saved?
im not sure about the best, theres too many good ones, but the WORST HAS to be rick jeaneret. he is so biased, getts excited over nothing, has little knowledge about the game, and unless it is a big team, or a big game, he knows only a few of the players from the other team. seriously, he will make a dump in sound like a stellar shot on goal.Did bad reffing cost the Flames the game last night?
Watch a Columbus Blue Jackets game on FSN ohio the guy calls Mikka Kiprusoff..."Mick Kip-ry-ose" The best is definetly Joe Michelletti. He used to do the St. Louis Blues games and occasionally the game of the week on FoxWho has really nice jonathan cheechoo pics?
Bob Cole on Hockey Night in Canada is past due for retirement. He is the worst because he can't keep up to the play, anymore.More Questions & Answers...
