The best coach in professional sports period? Did you erase the Buffalo Sabres years? The '93 Pens flop vs. the Isles, the constant flops by the Dead Things in '95 Final and in early rounds in '94 and '95 and even '96 vs. the Avs until they sorted it out?

Scotty Bowman was a great coach but he was the WORST coach of Team Canada ever or did you forget the 8-1 loss the USSR gave Canada in the 1981 Canada Cup where he had no answer for the Soviets?

Sorry, but, if you are talking championships and you're not looking globally (I'd say some soccer and rugby coaches have even greater championship credo)...only considering North American pro sports, you have to say Red Auerbach (8 straight titles just as a coach) was much much better both in team building and winning championships with the Boston Celtics. Now, if you want to argue, taking different teams to championships...well Phil Jackson managed two three-peats with da Bulls and a further three-peat with the Lakers.

Personally, you judge a coach on how well he improves a team. Lindy Ruff is a great coach taking two different Buffalo teams with a modicum of talent deep into the playoffs. Maybe not a Bowman but give Lindy Ruff that deep '70s Habs squad or Mario in his prime and he'd win as many championships as Bowbrain.

What is the best X-Box 360 Ice Hockey game ?

Did he not say: Look, it doest take a genius, my dad was the best player in the league in his day, and that's not me! Wait i think i just quoted Brett Hull sorry.
I would guess Dryden because of the book called The Game i think Bowman makes that reference about Dryden in there.
In a interview with David Walton he said Guy Lafleur was the number 1 player in the 70`s.
You got my curiosity and i wait for the answer.

Well could it be Mario Lemieux he did say he was the most complete player he had seen!

Hate to change answers again but after digging deeper i will go with Sid the Kid, and if i was wrong and it was Mario give the 10 points to jujubah_oh he said Mario after me.

What were the hats at the skills competition for the NHl all star game?

I know he always spoke highly of Dryden during the Cup seasons in the 70s.

I don't disagree with him...

Based on the hint, I would guess Mario.
