Anyone else tired of hearing about UFC 65? and the "nut shot"?

Question:It's kinda beating a dead horse at this point dont ya think? Hughes was DOMINATED by GSP. He not only knocked out his tooth (yes it was his tooth, who doesnt take a fake out out before a fight) but he didnt even know if he was kicked or punched a few times. GSP brought the fight to his door the entire time. Hughes's *** was done after the first round but he was saved by the bell. GSP just finished what he had started in the second.

The "nut" shot has already been de-bunked even by hughes himself in the post fight interviews. They were thigh kicks that most of us are used to seeing! Plus, who doesn't fight without a cup... if its a full on blow thats one thing, but grazing nut shot? Please. The UFC protected Hughes and his belt LONG ENOUGH. I am glad that the real champ was finally givin the shot to show the world. He is gonna be there for a long time, and I can't wait to see Matt serra cry.

Do you think superheavy weights will be really stronger?

That "nut shot" bs is dumb. Hughes got kicked in the groin, in his rematch against Frank Trigg and finished Trigg off with another rear naked choke. If Hughes was going to win against GSP, he would have. Low blows have nothing to do with his loss. He took the time he needed to recover. End of story.

The fact is, St.Pierre came prepared for the fight and had no intimidation of Hughes, this time around. He's a superior striker, he's faster and more athletic, and he's got an impressive ground game as well (despite not having to use it). Hughes lost the fight because he was kept on his feet, engaged in a striking battle, that was one sided.

Hughes has improved his striking ability a great deal but he'll never compare to GSP's striking ability. For Hughes to win a rematch, he'll have to close the distance between him self and GSP. He have to get him to the ground. He'll have to learn to shoot when GSP goes for high kicks because that's when he's vulnerable. Matt Hughes has to either submit him or "ground and pound him". There's no way in hell Hughes is going to knock out GSP, standing up.

Hi does anyone know what ju jitsu means in english (direct interpritation of name)?

Hood,

GSP did not knock Matt's tooth out.lol
Hughes wears a denture! That tooth was gone long before Saturday night.

Hood, No offense but he does'nt wear it during the fight! Thats how i know it was out long before Saturday. Plus, I have heard him ask for it after fights, he doesnt want to appear toothless on TV I'm sure.

That being said we do agree on this matter. The " nut" shots were not intentional and are just part of the game. Especially when kicking for the inner thigh. I am happy for GSP he is an exceptional athlete and desreves the belt.

What is your favorite mixed martial arts organization: UFC, Pride Fighting, BoDog or what and why?

GSP * UP MATT HUGHES...

How old were you when you started learning martial arts?

The controversy lies within the minds of the two fighters, most of the time. In a controversial match, the beaten fighter will usually challenge the decision of the bout, expressing his belief that he had actually won the fight. If the fighter is able to admit that he has been completely defeated without question, then there is not a controversy with the two competitors, and the other fighter was decisevly the winner of the contest. Matt Hughes admitted defeat, and like the other guy said, groin shots are part of the game. George St. Pierre is your new champion, and he is legit. My question to everyone else is this. WHO CAN STOP HIM?

Whats the best mixed martial arts school in chicago??

Nut shot? What a joke. The only people who are actually making this retarded comment are the Hughes fans who can't accept that GSP beat him thoroughly. Hughes even admitted that he thought he was hit by a punch and didn't even realize he had been kicked. If that doesn't speak volumes about the condition he was in after this fight, I don't know what does.

I guess Hughes' fans are just like him. They can shoot off their mouths but when they are made to look stupid, they have to look for a reason to explain why he lost. Bottom line... he lost because GSP is just that much better. Get over it!

So much for Canadians not being fighters eh?

When i asked people about improving in muay thai, they said do squats, what do they mean by squats?

Alo sounds like she's canadian....p-ssy!

I'm a huge Matt Hughes fan and all I'm gonna say is long live the future of the UFC. G-S-P!

He thoroughly gave Hughes a legit beat down.

Take it any way you want it but Hughes is/was the most dominant champ in the UFC. In time, I think GSP will be just as dominant. Both are great champions and both are great human beings.
