Woud the UFC buying Pride be a good for the sport?

When are we going to see Stephan Bonnar fight again in the UFC?
I don't think so as diversity is usually a good thing. I like the fact that in Pride they still have tournaments, sometimes pit fighters of different weights, and they allow stomps and knees to the head of downed opponents. Also, because Pride uses a ring and not a cage, and because they don't allow elbow/forearm strikes to the head, a fighter can't win by simply pushing his opponent up against the cage and opening him up with an elbow. As a result, I think Pride fighters in general have better grappling abilities. Lastly, the first round in Pride is 10 minutes instead of 5--making it a sort of endurance round--which is interesting.Kimbo Slice vs. Chuck Liddell?
We will firast have to see what they do in order to answer the question. There has to be competition, and I like the differrent rules and the ring. Maybe they can start unifying belts, that would be sweet.Where can I watch the UFC in London?
Corporate mergers are so ugly.It always has a down side, but if it is good for the share holders they do not care.
Why do people train in MMA instead of BJJ?
NO. You need variety out there. Forgive me for saying this but when WWF bought WCW, professional wrestling lost it's appeal with a large number of people because #1 they prefered WCW over the WWF & #2 at least you had a choice to what show you wanted to watch. That very same back lash could possibly happen with UFC getting too big for there own good. And plus where would the fighters not cut out for UFC would go? Most of them go overseas to test the free agent market & to get paid big bucks! Now if Pride goes under, KOTC would be 2 steps backwards, IFL wouldn't even be a last choice, and unless BodogFight is serious about being a major player in MMA, your last choice would be EliteXC on Showtime but if you don't have Showtime then you're not going to care who's fighting for EliteXC.Does tae kwon do work in the streets when fighting ? just an opinion ? any type of tkd?
We may find out soon since MMAWeekly radio show (which is known as a great source of info) is reporting that the Fertitta brothers have bought PRIDE. The rumor is that they'll keep PRIDE as a separate entity from the UFC with some interpromotional fights (setting things up for a true world champion). However nothing has come down the news wires yet so it could still only be a rumor. Either way PRIDE is beginning to lose alot of their fighters to the UFC...More Questions & Answers...
