Is it too late for me to practice the Martial Arts?
Question:I'm 18 years old, I'm a female. Well, I'm really very interested in learning the Martial Arts (Muay Thai) but my problem is that I don't eat proper, I'm really very weak. I don't eat meat much either. But if I start trying to eat PROPER would it still be late for me to learn the Martial Arts?
What should I be eating/drinking daily to have a good health and be strong enough to practice Kick boxing?
Thank you very much, :-)

At 18?! No way. I knew this guy who began studying kung fu when he was 60.Kick boxing is a strenuous martial art, true enough. Your best bet would be to make an appointment with the head instructor and ask him/ or her all these questions. If he or she is a good instructor you'll get the answers you need and be well on your way.
In the meantime eat a well balanced diet. Begin doing some stretching and strength training exercises too. Get into a gym or even do some working out at home, sit-ups, push-ups, squats, anything.
What do i do when i think my martial arts instructor is ripping me off big time?
NO, it's not to lateI have a friend who did kick boxing
she's a vegetarian, but I think as long
as you eat healthy foods & stay away
from processed foods, fats foods &
junk foods you will do fine
always: CHECK W/ YOUR DR. FIRST

Anybody interested in a multi arts seminar in s.wales march 2007?
Never too late. I started in my 30s (one of the best things I ever did for myself). Note: martial arts isn't really about strength, but learning to eat better is a good idea regardless and will help you in more areas than just strength.Theres a problem with Taekwondow and an Ipod shuffle. Weird but HELP NOW PLZ!?
No way. I started training Muay Thai when I was 23. I was overweight and had poor eating habits. Muay Thai helped me to become stronger. You have to chose whether or not you want to make a life style change. Start training and do some research on fitness and nutrition... pick a plan that's good for you. And eat... just eat some healthier foods. This will give your body the energy and nutrients it need for the intensity of Muay Thai. I hope you start training... I love Muay Thai and will probably do for the rest of my life. Good Luck to you!How can i get more flexible and stronger for Capoeira?
noNo, it's NEVER too late to start training in the martial arts.
Just eat healthy and you'll be fine.
You are NOT to old, and its not too late, If you want to get started in something that will work you up to getting in shape AND having fun Try Tae Kwon Do... It is structured to work you slowley while building up your muscles evenly through the first few Belts, Then as you progress the sessions will get increasingly tougher.. And the tournaments are ALOT of fun for ALL.
Can you believe Travis Lutter didn't make weight for tonights fight and now it's not for the title?
I started Tae Kwon Do when I was 44 years old. It's always good to eat a healthy balanced diet, but I assure you many black belts don't. Get started as soon as you can, don't worry about stremgth now. You will build that over time. Ask for diet advice in the diet section on Y!A.How can I get a certificated that says I'm able to give martial arts classes?
It's never to late to go back. You Will be a little healthier if you do go to martial arts. You don't have to be a certain height or weight. Or you don't have to be this healthy. You just need to learn to defend yourself. You don't have to be strong.Where can I get some cheap MMA gloves?
well it is never too late to learn martial arts? but about ur body condition , i dun think there will be big drastic improvement in ur body even with proper diets. sorry to tell u this but have u seen people train thai boxing before? they attack and defend almost using their shin part. this is a quite agressive for a girl like u.my friend practice it for quite sometime, they use metal rod to roll over their shin all the time in order to make it strong , frankly speaking i try once it is really pain..why dun u try other kinds of martial arts or sport? karate, taekwando, aikido or kendo. i heard that the Asian tournament of kendo 2007 will be held in Bangkok why dun u take a look of it and u might like it^^"
cheers
