And your second question it is just a way to get your frustration out im thinking

What Happened to Michael Bisping from UFC?

Yes, the tests get harder in the higher ranks, especially for black belt. In most martial arts you can pass every upper belt test up to black belt as long as you practice enough and learn your stuff, but according to my buddy who is getting ready to test for second degree black belt the black belt test is a KILLER. P.S.: Chi in my particular martial art is defined as the sum total of your energy -- could be tied to adrenaline, but I think it has more to do with harnessing your energy and focusing it.

Who's the Best World Fighter: Fedor Emelianchenko, Mirko Filipovic "CroCop", or Mauricio "Shogun" Rua ?

Difficulty in general depends on your school/organization. And how easily they pass people to Black. Everything before black belt is just practice regardless of how many colors there are. The tests before black are generally easy as long as you are diligent in your practice. The test to black is the real test. Once you attain a rank of black belt that is when 'real' instruction begins and every test after first degree gets more and more difficult.

How much do (Muay) Thai pads cost in Thailand?

Absolutely!
Your tests should get considerably harder as you progress. The first technique learned in our system (at yellow belt) can kill. Then it only gets more brutal and more extreme from there. The only way one will continue to progress with us and learn more technique, is by showing they are worthy by getting through the difficult moments, and not quitting.

It takes about 9-10 years to obtain 1st degree Black Belt in our system. If you reach green, you should reach brown. If you reach brown belt, you'll more than likely obtain your black. And that's exactly how it should be. Anything worthwhile, should be difficult to get.

I want to take a new Martial Art?

Congratulations on passing your test!

The tests will become increasingly challenging as you progress. You can expect that they will take longer, be more physically demanding, require more physical coordination and mastery, and the instructors will become increasingly stringent in evaluating your focus, timing, and technique.

Hopefully you won't think that because it's easy at first that it will always be easy. It shouldn't be. But, that being said, if you find that you're not challenged by your school, you may want to find a new school, because it's all about YOUR growth. Often times schools will refuse to promote someone who's truly qualified, just to test their determination in earning the next level of achievement. Be sure you're challenged!

As far as Chi--this is a pretty deep subject. It isn't adrenaline. Adrenaline is just a chemical, but Chi is energy. Chi, or as the Japanese refer to the same thing as "ki", is a vital energy thought to emanate from an energetic base in the tan tien (also known as dan tien), which is a space located about 2 inches below your navel. Ever heard of chakras and meridians, those used in yoga and other Eastern arts? It's similar to that. It's integral to many martial arts, particularly Tai Chi and Aikido (note how the "chi" and "ki" shows up in both names), where you focus on harnessing and developing this energy.

Now, what does it do?

Chi has been attributed to allowing men to lay on a bed of nails and have hundreds of pounds of ice laid on top of them, then broken with a sledgehammer--and they get up uninjured. I've seen Chinese masters put a steel spearpoint to their throat, and break the spear shaft by pushing against the speartip with their throat.

Many other martial artists have attributed an inner strength they found to their Chi, and I myself have experienced its ability to "feel" when an opponent was going to attack or withdraw. Read almost any book on Aikido or Tai Chi, and you'll learn much more about it.

Hope that helps!

Anybody know more about tito ortiz fighting dana white in a boxing match?

yep im 11 and i skipped my yeller belt it keeps getting harder cuz u have more 2 be tested on

Kung fu or muay thai?

Yes tests get harder as you progress, just like anywhere else.

Chi (or ki) is not adrenaline. Focusing ki requires calm, adrenaline makes calm impossible.

I thought of joining a club but i dun kmow what to say in the first place.?

Test getting harder? Well if you go to a McDojo, of course not just make sure you pay the testing fee and your dues on time. Most real Dojos obviously it will get harder (in Shito Ryu if you fail a test you could be waiting anywhere from 6 months to a year depending on the belt). Nevertheless, failing test anywhere (school, Karate or Drug LOL) is not good conduct and can be avoided by practice, studying or in the case of drugs not using.

What did you get for christmas?

you souldint be offered a test till ur ready ne ways... and ki... if this is wat gets u off... is a life force that flows through the universal connecting us all heres a pretty good website...http://www.sumikiri.org/ki/kimainframe.h...
it also has a section with books on ki and pretty big reiki(using ki 2 heal) section u can find it by just goin to the home page and click in reiki instead of ki
u can feel it by deep breathing (hara or dan tien... w/e u call it) and putting ur hands pretty close together and.. almost imagint energy flowing out from ur hands and meeting inbetween em. u can also do it with inatamate objects and plants and stuff... they all have a diffrent "feeling" thy to associate that with a physical feeling, an emotion a color... give it a name.. that type of stuff..
placebo effect or real? u decide... what is real

Where can i buy punchbag (heary bag) in singapore?

Chi is like a river, it flows but calm but can be wild when unexpected. chi is the energy of your soul it allows you to focus the most amazing impact and control of your adrenaline. Remember real strength isn ot muscle but spirit.

Would a Mayweather-Sherk fight be bad for MMA?

Yes. The skills and rank requirements generally get more challenging. But hang in there, part of the challenge is to be able to finish what you start (i.e. eventually get to black belt).
