Does anyone know of any capoeria classes for children in se london or anything close by?
Well half of Muay Thai you might as well say is boxing. So if your asking if boxing does well in MMA the answer would be yes. I mean look at Chuck Lidell, the Light Heavyweight Champion. He wins by knocking all his opponents out or to the ground from his Boxing skills. Would boxing skills alone do well in the MMA? Oh Hell No! You have to incorporate other skills to compete with them guys. Half of all MMA fights end up being on the floor/ground at some point during the fight. So it would be foolish to go in relying on your boxing skills alone. I myself have been taking Thai Boxing for a few years now. I have just gotten into doing a little bit of juijitsu(groundfighting) cause if im fighting or sparring with a groundfighting opponent and they get me on the mat I am defenseless basically. Muay Thai is great though it includes so much boxing technique added with elbow, knees, shins, etc. A straight Muay Thai boxer cannot even compete in MMA without some groundfighting skills though. I hope I helped out with your question.Average Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class work?
boxing can be very effective it just cant be your only skill. thai boxings more effective because it utilizes six point strikeingAre wrestling and boxing martial arts?
If all you can do is box, than you will get your @$$ handed to you in the mma world. However, it is a fantastic base for the sport. You would still want to throw in some leg checks and knees and defense against ground fighting. That is the only way a boxer can have any potential in mma.^what he said^
Which martial art to help with golf?
unless you are Lennox Lewis, who would have never earned enough to fight in the UFC, boxing skills are not enough alone.Good boxing is a very effective tool but it needs to be mixed with great take down defense or throws. A Judo / Boxing mix would be very effective against someone who was primarily a kicker. If they tried kicks you could take them down. You hands would be as good as they have. I say Boxing is nearly as effective as Muay Thai because kicking can be used against fighters.
The boxer even has a chance against a black belt jujitsu if he learns good take down defense and good escapes. Liddell is basically a stand up fighter.
I heard that Guy Mezger is the owner of the new MMA organization UAFC art of war, is that true?
Pretty much what everyone said...boxing is very effective (because striking can end a fight) , but it cant be your only trade...you also need other backgrounds mixed in. (or else you can get submitted)I am now 27 years old.I have strong desier to be martal artist can I be?
boxing is a great striking art, however in MMA you need some kind of grappling defence and ways to either have or defend against submissions.Boxing doesn't teach that, that is why MMAists take judo, sambo, bjj, wrestling, pankration, etc.
