My friend just does BJJ. (He did BJJ about a year longer than I have.)
When we just mess around on the mat, I always get to take him down with my wrestling takedowns.
This is just as same as my other friends.
My friend #1 just wrestles and my friend #2 does BJJ.
Same result. Wrestler takes down BJJ guy all the time.

Who is this dude that says there are no takedowns in Judo? Judo is all about ways to toss your opponent to the ground and finish him off.BJJ focuses on the ground game and not so much on the sheer variety of ways to sweep, takedown, knockdown, etc. Much as (most) Karate styles do not have the sheer variety of submissions/locks/escapes/tran... that are in other styles OR they are just practiced from the standing position. However, getting someone onto the ground who has no training in the clinch phase isn't difficult anyway.
