When is the next Ultimate Fight Night Live on Spike TV?
NO WAY. The way he fights is against UFC rules #'s 679A,1157D, and 1198B. Meanwhile Gorgio Mernandez hasn't lost a fight and follows all the rules.Who won the UFC Ortiz vs Liddell fight Saturday?
I dunno, but Tito Ortiz runs his mouth too damn much.THERE ARE MANY GREAT UFC FIGHTER....ROYCE GRACIE MADE UFC....IF IT WAS NOT FOR HIM THERE WOULD NOT BE AN UFC NOW..I WOULD SAY ROYCE GRACIE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF ALL TIME..
Do you need a certificate to teach self defense?
Royce was at the beginning of UFC a great fighter, but only because he specialized in submission when everyone else was into straight up kickboxing or striking. Now that the sport has everybody doing submission he has lost his advantage. The persons to watch right now are Tito Ortiz, Matt Hughes, and Chuck Ladell. They are well versed in submission, ground-and-pound, and stand-up striking.Do you guys think the International Fight League will be a success?
NoPirates vs. Ninjas vs. Wizards?
I think so. Fighting in the UFC back then was a lot tougher, fewer rules, and you had to fight more than once in those days. And their were no weight classes, Royce was about 180 lbs kicking asses of guys of all sizes. The Gracie family and himself helped bring the importance of BJJ in MMA.Is boxing dead, since the introduction of mixed martial arts fighting?
He was a great fighter. but not the greatest of all time. He brought the "ground game" to the UFC. NO one was ready for that. When he tried to stand up with most people he got ROCKED. But when they played into his game it was lights out really fast! You have to understand that he changed the UFC entirely. No one really studied ground fighting until they got their asses handed to them by it. Royce was the pioneer of Ju Jitsu within the UFC. but not the greatest of all time... and if anyone says Matt Hughes was... they should be slapped until they realize how stupid they are. Will Brock Lesner Ever Compete in MMA?
No..He is not the greatest of all time. But I will say that he was a pioneer of the sport his fighting style helped mold MMA into what it is today. But it is very hard to call him the greatest of all time. The sport has evolved so much from his fighting days the fact is back in the day nobody knew how to deal with Royce's BJJ so most fighters got choked out.If I had to pick someone as the greatest of all time I would go with Randy Couture. He won titles in 2 seperate weight classes and he has beaten some of the best in the sport...that said, Chuck Liddell is starting to creep into this conversation as well. If Chuck wins his next few fights and retires with the belt, then he might be it.
What did Franklin Do wrong? How do you escape from a Muay Thai Clinch?
When Royce Gracie Faught the UFC was very young. If you didn't see the Royce Gracie and Matt Hughs fight you would see the difference from then and now. He is a very good fighter though. The sport has changed so much since then.No he simply won the "fighting style battle" and basically forced anyone who wants to step into the ring to at least study up on BJJ, at least learn excape techniques or your screwed. But I agree with the guy above me Randy Couture is the best UFC fighter of all times. He stepped into the UFC ring for the first time a 34 year old against much larger and more powerful opponents and in turn won titles in two divisons and finally passed on the tourch to the greatest striker in UFC history.
So my friend wants to fight me?
Is he the toughest fighter to enter the cage? No way, but you are asking who the greatest was and not necessarily who the best was. So considering what he accomplished and when he did it, knowing that he was beating guys 50lbs bigger, i would say yes, he is probably the greatest and most legendary kind of like Sakuraba, but not the best.Nope just ask Saku
