Does anyone have any good tips for training in order to increase stamina and strength?
I like the sho katas, Kanku Sho and Bassai Sho, although Nijushiho is one of my favourites...can see why you like Unsu...sooo cool dropping to the floor and kicking the opponent from the floor...but the jump, seeing it in competition, would suggest swinging your leg round giving you the momentum to lift, pull your knees in the direction of the twist and then letting gravity take over...oh, and a lot of practice:0) have fun!!Want to learn wrestling, where in south london can i do this?
Empi is nice ! Unsu..crikey what grade are you ?I liked Tekki Shodan, Bassai Dai and Jion.
It takes a while to understand kata don`t you think ?
Anyway, good luck !
My daughter is 6 years old...?
My favorite is the Shotokan Kata Kanku Dai. (please pardon my spelling, as I am a little tired as it is almost one in the morning). Have you looked at the various books written by Master Sugiyama? They can be found at:http://www.jkachicago.com/publications.h...
I am old enough to have been to Master Camp when Nakayama came to the U.S. and to have been tested by Nakayama when he was in Philadelphia at the black belt testing.
Where do i go if i want some one to make me a costume weapon?
Bassai sho, kanku dai, kanku sho, heion 5Dana White vs. Tito Ortiz - WTF??
the empi jump is very easy, just make sure that you tuck both feet in when you do...the unsu jump on the other hand is very difficult and i havent been able to do it either...but im sure with practice it will come.my favorite kata is bassai dai for sure...i like the very traditionaly moves and the ending is very nice...learn the first l kata. then u can jump me!! lmao
