In the Olympics i thought you were only allowed to play for the Country that you were born in but some people play for other Countries which they weren't born in. How does this work?

International rules aren't that strict. It's often determined by which country you are a citizen of, not where you are born. There are even some exceptions to that, however.

He was born in Haiti, but his mother is a Candian citizen, so he's considering playing for Team Canada's basketball squad in the 2008 summer games. This is apparently allowable under the rules. I don't know if there are other such rules, but this is one.
