Jackie Joyner-Kersee was born March 3, 1962 in East St. Louis, Illionis. She won three gold, one silver and one bronze Olympic medals. She was the first woman to score 7,000 points in a heptathlon event (during the 1986 Goodwill Games).

Mildred Ella "Babe" Didrikson Zaharias was born June 26, 1913 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was considered to be perhaps the greatest all-around female athlete of all time. She achieved outstanding success in golf, basketball and track and field. She has won 2 gold and 1 silver medal in 1932 Olympic games.

Wilma Glodean Rudolph was born June 23, 1940 in Clarksville, Tennessee. At an early age it was discovered she had polio. Sullivan Award as the top amateur athlete in the United States.
