How do they get ice to freeze sideways on the luge track, and do they resurface it between runs and if so how?

Just curious how this works? I work at a hockey rink, and the other day the guys and I were watching the luge events at the Olympics. One guy asked how they did it and nobody knew. Do they have some kind of special Zamboni or what?

Answers:

Does anyone know how i can try out for the olympics?

They use a fine mist spray and build the ice up a fraction of an inch at a time. It is time consuming but works really well.

What is better to take up? ballet or gymnastics to improve or help me in figure skating?

Try a rhinoceros!
