The skater in question was Marie-France Dubreuil representing Canada. According to the Turin 2006 website (as of yesterday):

Canadian Marie-France Dubreuil's participation in Monday's free dance was in doubt as she was still in pain following a fall in the original dance on Sunday.

"I don't know if she will be able to skate tonight," her partner Patrice Lauzon told reporters after he trained alone at the Palavela rink.

"She was not able to walk yesterday.

"She has nothing broken, so that's good. She is hurting from the knee to the lower back and she is getting treatment."

The Canadians were one of four couples who tumbled to the ground during the ice dance competition and Dubreuil was taken to a Turin hospital on Sunday as a precautionary measure.
