I need tips for running 400m sprint?
Question:hello guys ..
I normally run 800m ,, but I've now register for 400m sprint as I'm switching to sprint events ,, so for u runners can u offer me any tips of how should I run it?

if you on the inside lanes 1-4 pace the pack. put it all out on the last 200 save nothing you have on the turn and let your legs do the rest, my pr is 56.3 ima sophmore in highschoolWhat does barbara means in latin?
sprint the first 100 then just let off a little and the last 200 build up the spead again and at the 100 let all it out and run so fast that you feel like you are goin to fall overthe first 200m be at a really good pace that ur 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th,8t... 12th. the 100m u will hav to be a little faster. so you would be at least 8th unless... the last 100m u should run ur "fastest".
REMEMBER: AIR COMES IN YOUR NOSE AND OUT WITH YOUR MOUTH! IT WILL BE EASIER AND HELPS YOUR HEALTH. YOU WILL COUGH A LOT IF YOU BREATH AND EXHALE WITH YOUR MOUTH. IM EXPERIENCED!
fastest means that you run really fast without breathing too hard at the end or getting a heartatack or making your heart pump 999mph (im exaggerating).
always run on lane1 if you want to go around some1 then uses at least lanes as possible.

Run faster than all the other guys and you will win. Pretty basic idea, huh?If you’re such a glutton for punishment that you want to run the 400m dash, you should have trained for it, but hey you run the 800m and thats crazy so you're already nuts.
hard for first 50 meters,(on the first corner),then into the back straightaway try to keep your form and maintain your position take quick & shorter arm pumps to gain momentum, stay as close to the inside of your lane as you can without running on it. Half-way through the final turn,and on the last straightaway it is time for the after-burners to come on and empty the tank to the finish.
I have also told my kids who don't usually do the event or first timers to go first 80m at 90% and into the backstretch keep the speed but stride it and then when u hit the last curve pick up some speed and like the last 100-150m to kick it
