I know that these take along time, I took longer on these than I did things like back handsprings and back tucks! Back bend kick overs are one of the most important things to know in gymnastics.Make sure you have a"spotter" to arch your back correctly and so you don't fall.
Get in your back bend.
Start to rock a little bit, that warms up your muscles.
Push off the ground with the foot you AREN'T kicking over, have your spotter support the leg and help push it over.
You need strong arms and back to be able to do a back bend kick over, not so much with the legs.
Good luck.

Get a spotter to work with you until you regain the ability to do it in one fluid motion. It will come back to you. What is your favorite sport in the winter olympics?
Throw your weight into your shoulders. When you do a backbend kickover, you back bend and then try to throw your legs over. If you concentrate on throwing your ankle back and into your sholder, that might help. thats how i got it. rock back and forth twice, and on the third back, kick at the same time. If that makes any sense. That's how I learned them, and how I taught my little sister :)Can football game make pease in the world?
