You are comparing a man to a woman. Jim basically could do anything in sports. ANY SPORT!! Not too long ago one of the sports networks had some kind of contest and did not pick Thorpe as the athlete of the century, which just goes to show that if people have not seen someone on t.v. they don't exist. Babe was a great athlete and excelled at most anything she did, in several different sports, but I don't think she can compare to the things that Thorpe did' winning the decathlon and pentathlon in the same Olympics, played pro baseball, and football, won ballroom dancing contests. It is difficult to appreciate what he accomplished today.
