After Crosscountry Season and Indoor season my time went from a
37.2 to a 25.4

-Make sure you are running on your toes-You need to lift your knees as high as you can while running as fast as you can. You actually wont be able to get them up very much higher but the little that you do will help.

have a proper diet, like eating carbs and lots of protein. maybe having track spikes would also help. and one thing is: practice makes perfect.Is there a chance that the olympics could come to North Carolina?
Practice,practice and practice with a good coach and some specific diet;it depends on your speciality 100,200,400,800 mts, etcDon't get tired!!

Training everyday. Making your legs more stronger will make the muscles in your legs make you run more faster. So the best thing to do, is to work out your calves and your leg muscles. Hope i helped! =D
You must train and condition your body to speed. There is a technique to running. Your form means you should stand up straight, keep your elbows at 90 degrees, let your arms swing front to back, not across your body. Relax. Keep your toes pulled up so your foot is dorsiflexed. Your foot should strike the ground just ahead of your center of gravity coming back at the speed you are moving forward, pawing at the ground. You run by pushing,not pulling yourself. You need to do weights to gain strength because it takes muscles to run. Do plyometrics to gain ballistic strength. Run speed intervals so you can condition your energy systems to tolerate lactic acid which builds up when you are running fast for longer sprints, and which is why you start feeling numb. Eat a good diet high in complex carbs, have protein after a hard workout to help repair cell walls. Warm up and cool down and stretch. Drink plenty of water. It takes time to learn to run correctly and to increase your strength. Practice block starts because a good start often determines the winner of short sprints.

Practice running with weights somewhere on your person. Go with weights as heavy as you can take. Don't over do it. By doing this your body will be use to running with a bunch of extra weight on you. That way when you take off the weights and start running, you will be amazed at how much lighter you feel and how much easier it is to run.
