Just keep on working on it, day after day. Use your hands to support your body weight at first, then as you feel you are getting more flexible, only use one hand or don't use your hands at all. Make sure you work on your upper thighs, too, as you will need your quads to do extensions even if you are very flexible. Stretch your hamstrings and your quads, and your legs will get looser. If you find yourself almost there, try this trick that my dancer friend taught me. Lead out with your most flexible leg, (For example, I lead out with my right leg and can get lower that way). Once you've gone as far as it seems you can go, bend your upper body out over your leg, touching your head to your knee.
